UPDATE: The big Eurotrip is starting soon, so I won't be in NYC for a while!

I like to think about myself as an adventurer. Maybe I don't uncover any new territories, but travelling to different countries and experiencing their cultures and traditions is still amazing. I do enjoy some board and video games too, especially in a good company!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been enjoying some Couchsurfing events recently, especially the annual Burning Kouch event in NYC. I really like the community, people are always friendly and open-minded.

Now I'm planning to travel around Europe in November by using the Eurail Pass which will allow me to see quite a few cities in a small timeframe.

Interests

In the recent years I started enjoying visiting museums, monuments and other cultural places. It tells me a lot about history of nations around the world. I feel like many people who use this website have similar interests.

I've been a gamer since my early childhood, starting with classic Mario games. Now I'm a big PlayStation and Nintendo fan, trying to play most of the big hits and some Japanese import games.

I know a lot about Russian culture. Even though the modern Russian government has its issues, the culture itself is much more friendly - it is amazing. Plus, the history of the USSR and the Russian Empire is quite interesting. I'm happy to share that information with anyone who's interested.

As for learning, I'm really interested in studying more languages and finding out more about various cultures.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Like most other people, I have a bunch of interesting stories from my personal experience. I try to always carry some simple souvenirs from my country with me, such as fridge magnets or coins if anyone's collecting those.
