ABOUT ME

I am a friendly, down to earth person who loves to laugh and enjoy life to the fullest. I have lived studying and working in three continents and developed a huge interest in cultures and diversity. I came to understand how beautiful and big the world is and how amazingly similar human beings are no matter where they come from. I currently live in Toronto, Canada which is an amazing place to enjoy multiculturism and the diversity in food, drink, art, customs,..etc. I promised myself that given the means I would always travel, and explore the world and here I am on a mission. I would love to meet and sit and chat with all you wonderful people on this website.

PHILOSOPHY

Laugh as much as I can becuase laughter is a remedy for everything. I also learned to keep things in perspective and not to sweat the small stuff; easier said than done, but I try.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I learned about the community in summer 2009 and have both hosted and been hosted a few times. I have also talked many of my friends about into it. As I find more time, I plan to actively explore other ways to promote the community and grow it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted and been hosted a few times. I've had fantastic experiences so far meeting ineresting people, helping my guests have a good experiencein toronto and enjoying my hosts company and sharing my life experience with them. Outside this community, I have many friends around the world,and I have enjoyed thier hospitality in many occasions. I was hosted by friends in many places, from Italy to England, the US, Mexico, etc. I think the best way to understand and enjoy the culture is to be in the company of a local person.

Interests

I have many and develop more with time. I love movies, especially independent ones. I like music of all kinds and am developing more liking for Jazz and Classic recently. I like dancing and recently started taking some Salsa lessons. I absolutely adore sports and soccer in particular. I also play squash, rollerblad, ice skate, sail and do scubadiving. Finally, I have a lot of interest in Photgraphy and would like to develop it more.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like movies especially independent ones. My favorite movies are: Cinema Paradiso, La Vita e' bella (Life is beautiful), To kill a mocking bird, Casablanca, Fargo, Good Fellas, The Godfather, An officer and a gentleman, and many many more.

I love music of all kinds and in different languages. I usually buy a CD or two from every country I visit. I have music for Cesaria Evora, Nana Mouskouri, Andrea Bocelli, Carla Bruni,..etc. Recently, I have developed more liking for Jazz and some Classics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Many; difficult to just specify one or two...we need sit and have a drink for that!
