I'm Massimiliano, Italian, Mediterranean, a couchsurfer officially since 2011 and proud of it!

I lived in Trieste (home city), Venezia, Torino (Italy), Paris (France), Lisbon (Portugal), San Paolo and Belo Horizonte (Brazil), and now since 2 years in Barcelona (Spain).
I'm a globetrotter and my soul is a geographer :)
I play drums, sometimes I dance (I used to dance Salsa, I'm learning Forrò, I love to dance electronic music)
I surf, when I lived close to the sea and to surf spots I surfed a lot. Now, in Barcelona, it's not so easy to surf...

I studied urban planning in my Bachelor and Master studies and now I'm a Pro in the field!
They call us urban planners...
I worked as a free-lancer in GIS and Urban Planning sectors, as an intern and assistant in Research centers and NGOs, as an official collaborator for a European Union program under the European Space Agency in the field of disaster rapid mapping.
Currently, I'm finishing my Ph.D. thesis at Politecnico di Torino in URBAN PLANNING and GOVERNANCE.
My Ph.D. thesis focuses on Climate Change Adaptation of urban areas (south Europe) analyzed from the policy and governance perspectives

I promise you, my life is not just Academia or Urban stuff...
