Hey,
I'm Max from Dueren, Germany. This is between Aachen and Cologne. I'm 33 Years old and am quite easy going. I like exploring new places. Usually I end up in new cities and just start to walk around, exploring places without a plan.
I like going out for a few drinks in nice and cosy bars or just sit outside and enjoy the sun.

Thanks to my job I got to travel quite a bit around and lived in Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, Switzerland and for obvious reasons several years in Germany.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people, especially in foreign cities as I love meeting locals and getting to know the mentality of the place I'm at. It's nice to have somebody that can show you the "secret" spots, that locals do enjoy and still have a nice and cosy vibe compared to all the touristy bars and places.

Also I like listening to other peoples story, this is probably the biggest reason for couchsurfing.

Interests

Nowadays my interests go very much in the direction of self development, meditation, and breathwork.
I've spent the last year's studying the physiologie of our breath and have been fascinated what an incredible tool our breath can be in terms of capability to regulate our nervous system.
Also I still love to cook and to be creative in the kitchen and discover new foods in new cities or countries. I would love to share a meal with you and get to know a bit about your cooking and ingredients

Music, Movies, and Books

I love pretty much every type of music as long as it's well produced. This starts from classic music over Funk, to Jazz, to alternative Rock, Psychedelic rock, electronic music. I'm very open minded and love to explore new music, as this is a big part of my life.

I do enjoy movies, even though I don't watch alot of TV, whereas my favourite type of movie would be something like Shutter island, or the departed.

I like to read about philosophy, self development, religion, spirituality and the alikes. On the other hand I also do enjoy short stories, or stories about travels and adventures in life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I quit my studies for becoming a mechanical Engineer, sold everything I used to own and became a professional skydiver, travelled the world and met the most amazing people I could ever meet.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love teaching, this is why I'm doing the job I have. It's the most wonderful feeling ever, when you put lots of work into teaching someone and seeing that your work pays off, seeing the smile when people get something they've been struggeling with alot, is the most satisying feeling one can get.
