ABOUT ME

I am a musician (percussion/voice) who wants to help people, though I'm searching for how. Mostly I just try to listen when people need an ear and to perform random acts of kindness. I am a rational idealist (conundrum?) and perhaps a bit naive. I freaking love music, both playing and experiencing on any level and identify with the Bob Marley line, "One good thing about music, when it hits you feel no pain." I can't wait to meet you.

PHILOSOPHY

I live life to experience the strong emotions: elation, love, anger, sadness... and to appreciate the fact that I can feel them. I am so grateful, feel so lucky and privileged to be able to experience, to feel, etc. I live a life of gratitude and seek out opportunities that invoke deep emotions in me.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now, I don't have a place of residence that I can share, but in a few months I will have my own tent and would love to host people. Right now, I am just looking to share experiences with people I don't know of all different interests.

I appreciate most musics, esp. folk music of different cultures, electronic music, jazz, and contemporary orchestrated music.
I enjoy novels.
I can dig almost any movie genre other than romantic comedies (in general).

I organized and played "Music for 18 Musicians" by Steve Reich. It was the best musical experience of my life!

I can build a fire, put a spare tire on a car, make wind chimes, write a song, figure things out, make ice cream sandwiches, play drums, vibraphone and other percussion instruments, do laughter yoga.
I would love to learn how to cook various things. "Let's do this."
