My mission now is to find out what my mission is.

PHILOSOPHY

I am trying to empty myself of philosophy so I can understand the philosophies of others and see how these philosophies work in their lives. I want less to believe in something than to understand what moves people to believe. If I can do this successfully, maybe I will be able to help people understand themselves.

"A Portrait Of The Artist As A Young Man" by James Joyce, "The Magic Mountain" by Thomas Mann, and "You Can't Go Home Again" by Thomas Wolfe are three books which revealed me to myself and so helped me to become what I already was but did not know.

Surfing the internet always amazes me.

I like to listen to people and I think when people listen, sometimes the people speaking begin to hear themselves differently. In those times, the people speaking learn something, and because the people listening witness this moment, they learn something too.
