About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel more of Europe and eat All The Delicious Food! I've done Asia; now it's time for travel closer to home! :D

ABOUT ME

I'm a recent Philosophy graduate who's travelling the world in search of great food. I like to think of myself as fun and outgoing, and I will try almost anything - especially if it involves eating, drinking, or even better raving in a club somewhere. Now moved permanently back to London and making the best use of Easyjet/Ryanair I know how - going to new places!

I vowed long ago never to drink Spiritus again.

PHILOSOPHY

Try everything once - so long as it doesn't harm other people, go ahead!

Theory is one thing, experience is another.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm more than willing to share my experience and knowledge of places I have been, lived or researched, whether it be online or in person. I'd also like to start hosting, but space is severely limited at the moment. I go to CS meetups in most cities I visit, and many in London!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A brief couchsurfing experience in Korea on a visa run - had a great time and would love to meet more CSers! I've also shown non-CSers around Tokyo, Manchester and London.

Interests

Good conversation, drinking, raving and food!

A wise man once said that you could solve all the world's problems by getting everyone round a big table and have everyone recommend their favourite dish. I agree!

I also read newspapers far, far too much.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Blazing Saddles, Se7en, Confessions (look it up!), anything and everything by Tarantino, French gangster movies.
Music: Most things. Not a huge fan of hip hop, R&B or country. Massive fan of house/edm/dance - anything from Scuba to James Zabiela to Lemon Jelly. Most things on ResidentAdvisor!
Books: Mostly non-fiction. I read lots of longform magazine articles so can tell you tiny bits about everything from Neuroscience in pickpocketing to feuds between American waterpark owners.
TV - in no particular order, because these are all special to me in their own way:
Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Game of Thrones, House of Cards, OITNB, BBC's Absolute Power, BBC Sherlock, USA Sherlock,

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've visited both North Korea and Iran. Both were amazing, eye-opening experiences. Would love to go back to either.

Teach, Learn, Share

Necessity is the mother of all invention.

I can teach:
Basic Japanese
The world's best gyoza (potsticker) recipe
The best restaurants in Tokyo.

Countries I’ve Visited
