I'm originally from Russia. Moved from Moscow to Los Angeles less than a year ago.

I always enjoy meeting new people and seeing new places. I love California for diversity of it's people and it's nature (Yosemite rocks).

Most culture shock that I experienced: 3 days in Tokyo, trip was inspired by "Enter the Void" and it really feels like another world out there. And I want to be shocked even more.

I lived 2 weeks in a hippy commune on the short of the Black Sea. This experience is hard to put into words. Enough to say - we had a funeral ritual for a lizard, and physics lecture where professor was drawing formulas on beach stones with ashes from the fire.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think traveling is really about knowing people. That's why i never liked tours and I would never want to be called a "tourist". I am new to couchsurfing.com, but I've been doing this very thing for many years, both as a host and as a guest, while traveling across Russia, and these experiences were always fulfilling. It's great that we can now do this in a more civilized way ))

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So, this physics lecture that i mentioned in "About me"? I organized it. Took me whole day to find piece of paper, pen, and duct tape to make an ad for this and post it on a tree.
