I’m a history teacher who loves traveling and exploring new cultures, meeting new people and trying out new activities! I have lived in the DC area for two years now (from Boise, Idaho) and in a couple months am moving to Cali, Colombia to teach for a few years! After that I plan on teaching around the world until I retire :)

I love historical fiction and magical realism when it comes to books. Authors like Garcia Marquez, Allende, Murakami. I love movies, favorites directors being Wes Anderson, Tarantino, Guillermo del toro, Guy Ritchie and many others. I also love watching classics like Bridge on the River Kwai. Something about those old movies I just love. Also into foreign movies from around the world. Mexico in particular with Y tu Mamá También and Amores perros being my favorites

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I drove across the country on a road trip when I moved from Idaho to DC in August. Saw a lot of cool parts of the country! Also climbed an active volcano in Guatemala, that was sick.

I do jiu jitsu and am a history teacher so I know a fair bit about those topics. I also am learning Spanish so any Spanish speakers who wanna help out a gringo lemme know haha. I also just LOVE learning about different cultures around the world.
