About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To share my place for short time stays, meet cool pple and be able to stay at other people's places in the world because I like to travel a lot
ABOUT ME
My name's Max and I'm from Buenos Aires, I've lived in this amazing city all my life and I'm happy to share my place and my experiences with those who come visit on holidays. Every time I have the chance to travel the world I take it, like most of us here it's one of my biggest passions, and when I can't travel I host those who can and that kind of feels like travelling too (Ha.. no way!).
My place is located in San Telmo, it's a loft and I have an extra key for my guest. At home I don't have any strange rules, just the very basic ones we all know from common sense. If you want to check my facebook: http://www.facebook.com/maxidonate
PHILOSOPHY
That's a lot more fun to discuss in person, but for what concerns CouchSurfing I can say that I was told to believe in the latin phrase "Do Ut Des", which means "I give that you may give". In other words, "I give to you, that I may get something back from you"
... but that's kind of the opposite of my philosophy nowadays.
I guess now "I give just to give, for the pleasure of giving, to those who I believe are good people and without expecting anything back". A bit of a communist attitude in a capitalist world will help make things a little less unfair for some. Don't try too hard to change people, let them adopt from you what they want, what they think it's right. We all don't share the same values (no matter how strongly we believe in something), and after all we aren't good people for agreeing or differing on something, but for our tolerance and attitude in life
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I offer a private bedroom with bathroom, I give you a key, there's a laundry machine, kitchen, wi-fi internet, etc. There's a nice swimming pool and a gym, and you can use everything. Once your request has been accepted, please read the following:* I expect you to feel at home, so feel free to use anything in the house.* Always lock the door with key when you leave. If the last day I'm not home to say goodbye, just leave the key on the table.* If there is the possibility to stay extra time than the time we arranged I will let you know, if not, please don't ask. I only accept requests if the dates are clear from the beginning.* You could invite someone over as long as you let me know first. * Clean your own stuff but there's no need to hurry, I don't mind if the plates pile up for a day or two. That's all! :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I travelled a lot in my life... I believe I've seen a lot and I'm open minded enough to have some strangers at home :)
Interests
I like to go to concerts, I play the guitar, I love my city and my culture. I like to read as much as I like to write, I find cultural exchange very interesting. I like extreme sports. I tend to say "yeah let's go" even when I'm lazy to go out and normally I won't say "this is too much for me", I rather say "let's try it and if it sucks don't count on me next time". I'm a guy who likes to hang out, go to bars, concerts, I like electronic music and rocknroll, however if you feel like staying at home reading all day I wouldn't give a damn, I let be and do my thing if we end up having nothing in common.

Music, Movies, and Books
For music I like The Clash, the Ramones, the Sex Pistols, The Doors, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, The Strokes, The Libertines, The Smiths, all the bands that start with "The" I guess haha. I like local bands as well, but you probably don't know them.
I don't read fiction books because for fiction I rather watch a movie, and I know it's cool to say that books are so much better than movies, that they provide an escape from reality and bla bla... However I read other kinds of books, that, in most cases, would be impossible to take to the cinemas. I like to think one day I will write one of them.
