Hey !

We are MAXIME (21) and NINA (21), a young couple from FRANCE 🇫🇷.

After studying for most of our lives, we would like to take a break for about a year in order to DISCOVER new cultures and MEET interesting people from the nordic countries. We are currently in Norway and we’ve done the mandatory quarantine a month ago !

MAXIME is a young man holding a bachelor in SPORTS SCIENCES & EDUCATION. He is also interested in new technologies and always excited about trying new things and discovering new hobbies. Furthermore, he likes to cook, with many (or too much) different tastes and spices.

NINA is a young woman holding a technical university degree in MANAGEMENT & COMMUNICATION. She really likes to talk (a lot) and hanging out with her friends. She is dynamic and always happy to meet new people. She also likes to cook, create embroidery and, above all, feel herself useful.

Our mother language is FRENCH. We both speak pretty good ENGLISH and understand a little SPANISH. We are open to LEARN many new things and getting LANGUAGE PRACTICE through meeting locals.

This is our first big adventure but not our first travel. Previously, we visited Spain, England, Italy, Morocco, Czech Republic, Portugal, Turkey, Crete, Mauritius and Denmark. The last one is one of the reasons why we’d like to keep discovering the nordic countries, for the beauty of their LANDSCAPES and the cultural differences with France (especially in terms of EDUCATION and PEDAGOGY).

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

We’d like to try Couchsurfing because we want to meet local people, learn their habits and having tricks and tips from them. We had some good experiences with host while using AirBnB and WorkAway si why not CouchSurfing ? Oh and yes, we can’t deny that it will also help us réalise our dream even with our small budget !

Music : we listen to a lot of type of music (mainly hip-hop, rock and pop) and we would appreciate to know new artists to add them to our Spotify travel playlist !

Movies : we both have loved Joker (Todd Phillips) and love movies in general but actually we watch more series than movies. Our favorite ones are : Peaky Blinders, Strangers Things, The Handmaid’s tale, Dark, The Umbrella Academy, and we are currently watching Ratched...

Book : Nina is the only one who (really) read books and she loves polar so much!!!

Now, we are living our great adventure ! It’s amazing to discover new culture, peoples, landscapes and wow Norway is such a beautiful country, can’t wait to continue this trip!

We would like to share our French life with our hosts, maybe we can cook some French meals ! We also love spending hours talking, laughing but be reassured, we also know how to quiet, clean, and won’t be in your way if you need to work or something !
