Hi, my name is Max. I am a 21 years old dude that live in the North East of France in a city called Metz.
I love to meet new people, discover new cutlures and new places.
I'm fun and nice to get along with, I like to share things and story with people.
I love to travel, I have of course like most of the European people traveled in the countries neighbor of France but since 2012, I go to the USA everytime I can. So far, I've been visiting the US (California and Nevada) 7 times for a month up to 3 months each time cause my goal and my biggest dream is actually to live in the USA.
Those stays helped me to be very fluent in english, even when I'm in France not travelling I try to met foreigner people. Like for exemple every time I spot american people in my city I go talk to them.
I'm going on a trip to Japan with my bestfriend in August 2017.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To me, there are no better way to discover a new country and a new culture through local people. Staying with someone for a day or even a night can still lead to a lifetime friendship.
I met a bunch of people in my city or through my visits abroad with whom I am still in touch even if our meeting was sometime very short. In addition to staying just in touch with them I often met them again when I come back visit their country or when they come visit mine.

Interests

- Guitar : I've been playing guitar for the past 10 years now, I play electric and acoustic guitar of course! I used to play in a rock band that I created with a friend called "Helldorado", we were covering songs from Metallica, Gun's N Roses, AC/DC... Unfortunately the band doesn't exist anymore but I still play for myself until I find the time to join a band.

- Photography : I started photography the first time I went to the USA 5 years ago. By that time I was just using my parent's reflex (a Nikon D60) and I just wanted to get a tons of souvenir pictures. Through the time and through every travel I've improved myself, I've learned new stuff, got a new camera. You can check my pictures on Instagram : max_so_cal

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Everytime I go to the US, something amazing happen to me :
- One time, I went to Universal Studio in Hollywood. When it was time to leave the place, I saw outsite the park a big TV crew interviewing people. I asked a security guy what it was about and I asked if I could be part of it. 20 minutes later, I'm facing 3 big video cameras and a famous american stand up comedian, Hannibal Burress interwiwed me for about 30 minutes about stuff like politic, french culture and some funny stuff. Few weeks later, I've been selected to be on TV on Comedy Central for the TV show "Why? With Hannibal Buress".

- 2 years ago, when I was in Oceanside in North County San Diego, I met a police officer. He took me on a ride along (you spend a night with a police officer in his car as his partner). It was just crazy, I felt like on a TV show. He had some simple calls, nothing crazy but he drove through the gang area, he showed me the different gangs in the city (the gang members were watching us like if they had something to hide). By like 10pm, a US marshal called every police officer in the area cause he was about to arrest a bad guy known for running away everytime. Like usually, the bad guy escaped by car and guess what? We had a police chase with like 20 police cars through the city for like 20 minutes! They were driving fast, the sirens were on with the light. Maybe the best experience in my life!
