Hello I'm Maxime , 21 years old, a student living in Paris.

After my 3 years of Sports study, I wanted to make a break before the next 2 years.

I'm in love with sports (that's why I'm doing this type of study), all kind of sports. I did, and I practice lot of sports but the one I live for is Rugby : I started when I was 6 and still playing today.
I love hiking ! I did last summer the GR 20, one of the best trekking in Europe ! considered the toughest but certainly the most beautiful hike I've ever done.

I made some travel with my family but never alone. For this gap year, I wanted to travel far from my country and do it on my own. New Zealand appeared as the perfect land. Amazing landscape, land of Rugby and interesting culture. It will be awesome if I can do a roadtrip to explore NZ !

I want to discover another way of life, open my mind to different culture and share experiences...
When you have the possibility to travel and discover something else, it's a shame to stay on your city, country... there is so much to explore !!!

I'm very open minded, ready to learn thanks to other's experiences. I'm easy-going !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A friend who did a roadtrip in South America explained to me how Couchsurfing works and her experience. I found the aim very interesting.

I guess it's a nice way to meet people and share experiences. It will be nice if a host help me to discover his city and next year I might do the same !

As my way of travel is something new for me, I'm convinced this kind of practice will help me to enjoy it !

Interests

When I said I'm with love in Sports... I really mean it ! All kind of sports (tennis, golf, soccer, squash...)

Paris is an amazing city to partying ! I love listen music all night long or simply take a drink with friends.

I played bass for 2 years in a jazz-groupe. I loved it !

Favorite movie.... the list can be long but if I have to choose my favorite movie is Memento, directed by Christopher Nolan.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The hiking in Corsica ! It was so tough, difficult and long... but when you reach the top of mountains and watch the landscape, the sunset... It's amazing.
