About Me

CURRENT MISSION

**I won't be in Milan after April**

*Update: since the world Expo has ended here, not as many people as before want to meet me cuz they think I'm awesome and provide free accomodation, so less competition for you guys... but I'm still a sarcastic asshole! ;-)*

*I receive on average 10-15 requests a day, so be sure that any generic copy-pasted message will be ignored or answered with bitter sarcarsm, especially if you're French (just like me) and write me in English saying you want to eat pasta and experience my culture (blah blah blah blah blah), I really hate that! I also hate people who merge cells on Excel, they piss me off soooo much. And clowns... I don't host clowns cuz they're creepy - thank you*

I came back to France in October 2014, from an amazing 13 months backpacking trip around Asia and started to work in Milan Italy in March 2015. I really enjoy traveling and meeting new people from around the world and CS is one of the best ways to achieve it!

ABOUT ME

Open-minded, interested in other cultures, History lover, sympathetic. Thanks to my studies I had two opportunities to live abroad (3 months in Morocco with a Muslim family for an internship, and five months in Daejeon, South Korea as an exchange student in KAIST). I try to travel as much I can do and realized a first six weeks backpacking trip in 2012 in eastern Europe, and the big last one lasting over a year in Asia after graduation. Last summer I traveled again around Eastern Europe during a month or so.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I didn't use CS so much during my trip except a bit in Japan, due to organization issues but I enjoyed my experiences there.

Since I moved in Milan, I've been hosting quite a lot of travelers with different backgrounds, and enjoyed a lot sharing my time and my room with them. I've also couchsurfed during my last trip in Eastern Europe and for short stays in Northern Italy.

I guess it's a nice way to travel on a budget and meet cool folks who can tell you about where they live, but mostly if you're lucky, you get to know inspiring persons that will give you new ideas and widen you mind.

Interests

I really love travelling and meeting foreigners. As I used to live in a small town until I was 20, I did not have a chance to, but since I entered my university I made a lot of foreign friends. Talking and entertaining with them is one of the greatest things I've ever done.

Music, Movies, and Books

Authors: Vassili Grossman, Alexander Soljenitsyne, Naguib Mahfouz, George Orwells, Joseph Kessel, Albert Camus, Guy Dellisle, Riad Sattoud, Marjane Sattrapi, Jean Van Hamme....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveling a full year in Asia, sometimes really off the beaten tracks offered me the opportunity to live unexpected experiences, watching sunrises over Indonesian volcanos, chewing bethel nuts in Philippines and getting so high and sick 30 seconds later on Christmas eve, being arrested at a check point by Karen rebels in Myanmar, glancing at Tibetan lamas and Yacks shepperd in Sichuan province in China, climbing the great wall like a Mongolian raider...

Well, I wish everyone to live the same as what I lived there!

Teach, Learn, Share

I think I'm quite good at travelling, like planning, packing and staff, especially after having met some chaotic travelers, so maybe I can give some advice.
