ABOUT ME
Hello everyone, we are Maxime, 24 year old medical student, cologne-based, and Leoness, 17, about to start the last year of highschool in southern germany, who will be part of this profile for the upcoming 2 weeks :) We are sisters, experienced in travelling together as Maxime has done a fair share of dragging Leoness along to all kinds of adventures; England, Italy, the Netherlands.. often by tent and sometimes on sofas :)
We Bought a Ukulele this week, attempting to pick up a few chords and sing a few lines. We adore food. Prefer trains to cars and walking through cities to taking the bus - we are curious!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Due to busy times at university there has been quite a break since the last couchsurfing-involving trip, looking forward to surfing in greece now though :) so by now, Maxime has amassed a fair number of couchsurfing experiences, leading from scotland and ireland over the nordic countries such as finland, sweden and denmark, down south to portugal.
It's a big step towards a community built on the values of sharing and helping each other, support rather than competition.
There is this saying on how goods amass when you share them - trying to live that little by little every day.

Also enjoyed being a host for a few times ever since I live in cologne, which is great because it's good to give some openness and help back to fellow travellers.
I am struggeling with the verified profile thingy a bit - please read through my references, I guess what should matter most is, that the people I met found me reliable, and not that this company found access to my purse..

Interessen

Just give it all to me.

Studying medicine, there is a fair and rattling urge to understand the planet we live on, a little more, day by day. I started with the human body and - to be fair - it's simply fascinating.

I believe in equality of gender, which seems to equal calling myself a feminist these days - waiting for time when standing up for beliving in the rights of every human doesn't require this extra position anymore.
I believe in freedom of speech, and that nothing one sais should restrict another human in any way.
I believe in climate change and measures to push it back - on a vegan/vegetarian diet, using my bike to high extends, ridesharing - and couchsurfing for that matter. Just the realisation that resources are limited can have eye-opening effects, I hope.
I believe in justice, in freedom of the press, democracy (basic democracy when practiced with determination and patience?), nature, basic human rights.

I like to dance and I like to sing, cook ginormous dinners for friends, bake cakes just for the sake of longing for cake on a wednesday night, read a book on the balcony or discuss philosophy over a glass of wine - or water, for that matter ;)
