About Me
When I say I grew up everywhere, I'm not kidding. Though I have a dual US/UK citizenship, I grew up as a third culture kid thanks to my parents (Environmental Biologist and Public Health Expert). This meant traveling to all kinds of wonderful places (many of which I complained about as I was too young to appreciate) and living, almost exclusively, in developing nations until I left home for college in the United States (a foreign country to me at the time).
I am currently located in Chicago and working on moving away from freelance work and into more career oriented writing positions.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I don't make a terrible amount of money as a creative type and have been pointed towards Couchsurfing by many a trusted friend in the same situation. I am a fantastic traveler, a laid back and respectful guest, and love meeting friendly people and having new experiences so I figured I'd go for it. Not to mention I love talking about my experiences overseas (especially while my friend's roll their eyes at me because they know how much I love it)
Interests
All things nerdy - films and their production, eclectic music, wordplay, video games, board games both the casual and intense/time-consuming/friend-ruining/30 page rulebook type, science fiction, science, comic books and graphic novels, my dog Ampersand and his ugly teeth, sharpies and oil paints.
