About Me

Hi! I'm Max. I'm very optimistic and always happy. I'm also very curious, I like to discover and learn new things. I just want to know how this world works and what's going on there. That's also the reason why I study physics, so I learn more about the universe. I enjoy the nature and beautiful landscapes, especially at sunrise or sunset.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to see other countries from the perspective of a local, not like a typical tourist. I want to know what it actually is like to live there. I'm also looking forward to hosting people as soon as I move out, so I can get to know other people and cultures more frequently.

Music, Movies, and Books

I mainly read nonfiction books about all kinds of topics. I just finished reading "Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind", one of my favorite books of all time.

All kinds of rock music are great!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I love traveling solo because it makes me talk to a lot more strangers who sometimes eventually become friends. Whenever I went to another country all by myself, it was an amazing experience.
I went from the Austrian border to Berlin on my bicycle. It took me about two weeks to get there and it was my first time using Couchsurfing. I got to know so many great and interesting people, it was amazing!
A few weeks ago I went to Jordan and the people there are soo friendly! A local guy I met drove me around the capital Amman and showed me a lot of interesting places and the following day I had dinner with bedouins in Petra.

Teach, Learn, Share

I really like to learn new skills of all kinds. They don't need to be useful, as long as they are fun. I can spin a book on my finger for over 20 minutes and I successfully land some backflips from time to time (but just on a thick mat at the moment, stay safe!).
If you have some interesting skills, please be my teacher.
