Hi, my name is Max, I`m in the middle of my twenties and living in Hamburg, Germany. Born and raised in nothern Germany (Jever, a small city with famous beer) I came here to work and study a lot, but that`s not of any interest here, I guess. ;-P I`m very much into all sorts of fun-sports and always open to new kinds, love going to concerts and bars or just staying in my small but lovely dwelling, cooking, drinking and eating with friends or my two flatmates. Smooth days include some good series, a game of chess and a lot of sleep.
If money allows, I love to travel, been through a lot of Europe and am now planning a longer trip to Canada and Cuba.
My favorite places so far might be Sicily, Barcelona, Lisbon and the far south of Portugal, but not to forget everywhere with snow!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In my experience, the best way of getting to know a place is getting to know the locals. Couchsurfing gives a perfect chance for that.
On the other hand, while hosting poeple, in a way you get to travel without leaving your city.

Interests

Many sports like football, skiing, skating, surfing, biking, sailing, tennis or also yoga. Art, especially music, is another big interest.
But I´m also into politics, history, philosophy and speaking to people from all over the world and understanding their mind-set. I think it`s right to say I´m keen to get new perspectives and experiences!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love different typs of music e.g. Indie-Rock, HipHop, Jazz, Electro and eighties Pop. To give a few names: The Cure, National, Smith, Roots, Notwist, alt-J, Daft Punk, Frank Ocean, Action Bronson, and all the Motown-stuff.
Of course I`m into a lot of films but especialy I like series like Fargo, Breaking Bad or Game of Thrones. Favorite readings are mostly german writers like Regener or Rilke.
