Hello there,
my name is Max, or Maxi or (for whoever has the endurance to always call me) Maximilian!

I'm 27 years old and after I graduated out of highschool I decided to rather travel and explore the world, than to start some studies at the Uni, without knowing what I truly want to do.
Three years of traveling to more than a dozen of countries definitely provided me with the courage, knowledge and self-consciousness to now know where the next years shall lead me to and what i am going to do...so currently a a post-grad trip through India 🇮🇳

To be honest...three years of backpacking through the world it simply got to boring to always stay in Hostels, Guesthouses and so on. I decided to get a little bit more out of my travels by getting into deeper contact with locals. I hope couchsurfing.com can help me to do so! :)

If I am willing to talk, which is the case pretty often, you can catch me for almost every typ of conversation. Im generally a widely interested human beeing and I love to learn a lot, to listen and to share what I've learned with others.

Music is easy:
There are: Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson, Cat Stevens, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Eric Clapton, Eddie Vedder and even John Denver!

Movies is easy as well:
I love Leonardo DiCaprio Movies. This guy always is able to catch me! Besides I would consider myself as a cineast, so if the movie is good I like watching everything from Pirates of the Carrebean to Marry Poppins. ;)

Books is difficult:
Sometimes I just don't like to read, doesn't matter what. But if I'm in the mood it's definetly the classics and the big names I'm interested in: from Edgar Ellen Poe, Sir Arthut Conan Doyle, Hemingway, Capote, Thoreau to Schiller, Kafka, Goethe, Hesse, Frisch and Lonely Planets, I read them all.

In 2015 I throughhiked the longest footpath on earth throughout 3500km in the USA. -the Appalachian trail (AT)
It took me 150 days!!!

In 2016 i was travelling the biggest river on earth by different boats, from Iquitos, Peru to Belém, Brasil.
-the Amazon, it took me a rough month!!!
