Overview
About Me
Hi,
My name is Maximilien (call me Max) and I'm a student in History and Archaeology. I'm coming from a little town near Paris. I lived inside Paris for some years, during my studies, so if you have questions about the town or if you want a guide, you can ask me! For the next year, I will be living in Dublin for a year.
However I prefer countryside and landscapes where I can hike for days without human noises. Because of my studies, I'm always looking for cultural heritage of different places I'm visiting. Unfortunately, I didn't visit a lot of place. Indeed, I don't have a lot of money to take the plane, so my trips are mostly by train, bike or feet, and I spend now the most part my summers on excavation fields for archaeology, or in seasonal work, like grapes harvest for wine.
Beyond that I'm a very common human who like "le bon vin et la bonne chère" as we say in France, and some people call me a hobbit. I like obviously to discover new food and to present regional French meals to other people, especially when I'm cooking.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As everybody here, I like to move, to meet people and to live new experiences. Nobody never asking me to host him/her, but I will be happy to do it if I have the home for that. Indeed, during different trips, some unknown people hosted me while I was going to sleep outside, and I want to reverse the current trend.
However I move a lot these days, so I can't assure you I have a current place by the moment.

Music, Movies, and Books
I was influenced all my life by the Lord of the rings, firstly by the books, and after by the movies. I can't read a lot of things by the moment because my studies reading take a lot of time.
I'm a big fan of 70's rock's band (Led Zep forever). I discovered jazz when I come to Paris and I fell in live with that.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm a very common individual, so I didn't live a lot of things but something happened to me when I was travalling through Wales. It was during a dark winter night, I arrived in Pembroke. I didn't have anywhere to sleep and I was desesperating to sleep outside, on a bench, during this coldy evening. But an inhabitants from Pembroke saw me in a pub and propose me to be hosted. It's not an extraordinary story, but it me feels very grateful about human nature.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach French, rural French cooking, a little bit of guitar, and I can share stories that I learned during my studies. I'll be happy to improve my language's skills.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Couchsurfing is the better way to share a good moment with someone you don't know. So I would like to share knowledges, stories, friendship, hiking and cooking.
