ABOUT ME

At various points I have; skateboarded, tap danced, been a ballerina, painted fake blood on my chest and wore a goat mask, cooked tortillas for hours, ate them for hours, sold bread out of my kitchen to pay for booze, chicagoan, uptown boy, farmer's son, resident of the luxury PJs, had an animation I made collected by a French national museum, written grants, eaten grants, experienced awe at a 6σ results, slaughtered a chicken, lied at the age of 7 to get out of school by saying I was blind, gone to the hospital to get CT scans for said blindness, and worn a sarong regularly.

I am an video artist and photographer who also may be going to medical school in a little less than a year. I lived in Inwood in the tip top of Manhattan as a kid, decamped to the countryside in upstate New York for many years, and have been back in New York since 2005.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For the time being I'll probably be doing travelling. I may get the opportunity to move into a 1 bedroom soon, in which case EVERYONE is invited!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've spent months at a time living on people's couches, making moves and making efforts to get settled in NYC. Everyone was always somehow connected to me, which is cool but also robs you of some of the joys of meeting truly new people. The best was a trip through Italy where I stayed in run down shacks, but also in beautiful apartments. The variety of couches in the world is great.
