Hey there, my name is Maxi and I’m from Munich, Germany.
I’ve been back in Munich for about two years now working as a market researcher/ consultant. Before that I lived in the States for some time, while finishing up my masters. I signed up on couch surfing about 6 years ago after watching a TV show about a guy using couch surfing while traveling all around the world and spending no money solely relying on being welcomed by the people of the country he was in. This quite impressed me so I started couch surfing as well and made only good experiences so far. It’s a different kind of traveling when you know a local who can give advice or you can have a nice chat with over a beer.
Besides traveling I’m a big fan of food. It doesn’t matter if it’s cooking or eating. I’m always down to try the local cuisine and specialities. Also I’m trying to travel with following motto: “Mountains from the top, churches from the inside and bars from the outside.”
