CURRENT MISSION

Mastering Spanish is my current personal goal. Then I'd like to move on to French after that.

ABOUT ME

I was born and grew up in the beautiful City of Saigon of Vietnam. Later I went to the U.S. to pursue higher education. I lived and studied in Indiana, U.S.A. There, I had the chance to learn Spanish as the third language. I went to Mexico and Ecuador to work on my language skills and still am brushing up on it. I enjoy traveling. And not just the kind of "touristy" traveling where one lives in a country for a few days/weeks and checks out all the "touristy" sites. I want to immerse myself in the culture, hang out with the locals, drink the local beers, and fall in love with the local food.

PHILOSOPHY

The world is too big to settle down in one place.

It's pretty lame and cliche to put a quote here but I love it, so I'll do it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have done couchsurfing only once in Mexico and my host was extremely hospitable. You can see his review on my page.

兴趣

I study political science, so I'm very interested in politics and history. I'd like to visit every state capitol in the U.S. I know it's weird and nerdy haha but that's sort of my personal aspiration. I have done only 2 so far and they have 48 to go.

Also I enjoy working out such as lifting and swimming. I'm pretty glad that I don't get sick often. It's as if I was built to endure different environments. And also, introduce me to your creepiest local delicacy. I think I'm a pretty strong eaters so I'd love to try them out whether they be some exotic animal, insect, or anything that scares that crap out of foreigners haha.

I'm a big fan of Star Wars and Marvel (I have read, watched, and played video games). Science fiction is basically in my elements. Plus, I'm a beer aficionado. I love locally-brewed craft beer.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Nothing crazy but I once jumped off a boat in the deep ocean off of Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca in Mexico to grab a giant sea turtle. It was heavy and strong, almost pulling me down into the deep blue sea along with it. Also, I climbed to the top of a couple of mountains in Ecuador :)
