I'm just on a trip through Asia, so I won't be able to host anyone before mid June :)

ABOUT ME

I grew up in Pomster which is a very small village in the Eifel and located very close to the famous Nürburgring. In 2010, I moved to Trier for my studies and just got a new flat there. I spend most of my weekends in Pomster though. I'm currently writing my Master's thesis to become a teacher at high school.

I'm an open-minded person and friendly to all people. However, I have to admit that I'm a bit shy. With couchsurfing, I want to make new connections and gain a lot of new interesting experiences.

In my free time, I love to do sports and spend time outdoors. I also play football for SG OASF/Barweiler, a small club from the Eifel, and I manage the Facebook profile of this club.

PHILOSOPHY

I want to be pleased with my achievements, so I always try to do my best, no matter what I'm doing. My friends and my family are very important to me. My friends describe me as a sweet, nice, helpful, quiet and reliable person and I think that fits quite well.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love travelling in general and I made my first experiences as a couchsurfer in Canada. After returning to Germany, I decided to open my home to surfers myself, and after I've been hosting surfers from all over the world since then, I can state that it was a good decision ;)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As a surfer, I have made couchsurfing experiences in Canada, Fiji and New Zealand so far. After I made a fantastic first experience in Calgary, I became hooked on more and I also enjoyed staying with the hosts I've had henceforward. I am entirely convinced of couchsurfing and I think it's just great!

As a host, my experience increasingly grew in 2015 and 2016 and I was surprised by how many people from various countries wanted to stay in a village with 140 inhabitants ;) Having them stay at my home was very pleasant, so I'm looking forward to hosting more people!

Interessen

I love doing sports, especially football (soccer) as a player and a referee. In winter, I like to do both downhill and cross-country skiing. Besides, I really enjoy hiking.

In general, I love spending time outside and experiencing adventures of any kind.

I also watch a lot of sports on TV - basically all winter sports and most ball sports.

Especially during the Advent season, I spend a lot of time baking.

In addition, I'm really interested in photography and take a lot of pictures during my trips ;)

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I watch a lot of movies, mostly thrillers from Sweden, English-speaking countries or Germany. My favourite movies are Forrest Gump, Eddie the Eagle, Hunt for the wilderpeople, Soul Surfer, Cool Runnings and the Harry Potter series.

I read quite a lot, especially thrillers written by Scandinavian authors like Jo Nesbo or Jussi Adler-Olsen. I enjoy reading books which are set in the Eifel as well.

I like to listen to music by various musicians and bands. It's mainly music from the charts.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I can tell you a lot about the Eifel because I grew up in this region. Besides, if you stay with me in Pomster, I can show you some really nice scenic sights because our countryside is one of the most beautiful ones all over Germany. And if you're interested, I can teach you some Eifeler Platt, which is our regional dialect ;)

I love hearing about travelling experiences in general. I would like to visit a lot more places in the world than I've done so far and I like to be inspired by some exciting stories :)
