About Me

ABOUT ME

Hi there! I'm Max, a 30 year old easy-going, easy-to-talk-to guy. I'm currently trying to find more meaning in my life by working for a (bit) more wholesome cause (coming from automotive, going into renewables), traveling more slowly.

In November, I have 2 weeks of vacation for myself, looking for inspiration, sense and, of course, fun adventures!

I'm looking forward to trying out couchsurfing to get in touch with and finding a deeper connection to the places I travel than just hopping on a plane, staying in a hostel/hotel and ticking sights off a travel guide.

Interests

Having lived in a 6-person shared flat for 5 years during my studies, I love talking about and controversially discussing any topic from football to singularity.

I enjoy all kinds of sports, currently mainly playing football and badminton, like to go sailing in summer.

Music, Movies, and Books

It's tough to describe my music preferences. I like indie (pop and rock) and hip-hop (old school and some German stuff). However every now and then I totally enjoy Jazz (especially Chet Baker) or some classical music. Bach's Christmas Oratorio is a masterpiece I would love to share with you and see how you like it.

For literature, I am not so much into fiction. I enjoy Hermann Hesse, but other than that I really like socio-economic books (e. g. Daniel Kahnemann, Malcolm Gladwell).

I like all kinds of series, especially the awkward ones (e.g. Fleabag, end of the f***ing world) and of course Game of thrones (minus the ending) and breaking bad were amazing. Moviewise, I am open to anything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Pushing my girlfriend up the last metres of a 4000m volcano in Guatemala for the best sunrise in the world!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a fast learner and really enjoy trying out all kinds of new things, especially sport-wise. Also, I would love to listen to stories and try cultural experiences!

In return, I am a decent cook, a good listener and have some cultural experiences of my own I could share.
