ABOUT ME

My general philosophy about life is to take advantage of every day. I received some very good advice once: "Think about what you are going to do, and ask yourself if you're happy with the story you tell about it." I want to be always happy with the story I tell about my life. I also want to hear some other people's stories, which is why I'm here.

PHILOSOPHY

Like I said above - I want to live my life so that I'm happy with the story I tell about what I'm doing, will do, and have done. Take advantage of every day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new to Couch Surfing as an official organization, but I have spent many a night on friends' couches while travelling to see them. I find that some of my best times are had when I am sleeping on someone's couch.

Interests

New experiences. I'm an experience junkie. I want to learn about what's out there and do it. Cooking, music, art, underground parties, etc.More reguarly, I'm a big sports guy. I've played D1 college lacrosse in the states, I've been a ski instructor, and I am now very into a new fitness craze called CrossFit.I also enjoy movies, painting, and reading. And defintely having some fun.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: indie rock and classic rock mostly. Florence and the Machine, Beirut, Young the Giant, Jonquil, Modest Mouse, the Generationals, the National, Matt and Kim, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, David Bowie... these are not necessarily my favorites, but the ones that are popping into my head at the moment.Movies: mostly anything. Action, comedy, drama - anything that can actually evoke something in me. On a less selective level, I'll happily watch anything with entertainment value. Silly comedies or action movies... it's all good.Books: The Fountainhead, Catcher in the Rye, Catch 22, The Dwarf, The Master and Margarita, In Cold Blood... many more.

Seeing Iguazu falls under the moonlight. Skydiving. Listening to music.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm big into sports/fitness, and could certainly share opinions advice on that, or health in general. I'd like to learn about what people have done, where they are going, and who they have seen that have impressed them.
