About Me

I live in Edinburgh, work in a restaurant, and study social sciences at college. I travelled in Germany (where my wonderful girlfriend Hannah is from) and the Netherlands this summer and absolutely loved it. It is my ambition to go back and live there for a more extended period of time. I love to hear about other cultures and learn about cultural difference, and tackle the big questions in life. I like all things creative and the natural world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to see more of the world and I know that this is a great way to do it. My brother and I have hosted a number of couch surfers in our Edinburgh flat and all of them were such lovely people. We were always able to learn so much from one another. I am on this to meet new people, travel and learn about other cultures!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm into all kinds of music, the weirder the better! I like films and books that change my perspective, teach me something new and make me feel strong emotions. I recently saw the film 'Lady Bird' which was incredible and I highly recommend it. A song that sums up how I feel about travelling is 'Strong as an Oak' by 'Watsky'. You should give it a listen ;) I am interested in anything surreal and challenging. I recently discovered 'Blue Jam', a surreal comedy horror radio show by Chris Morris, which illustrates my current tastes pretty well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I travelled by van to Greece with my parents at age 11, lived there for 6 months and learned how carve marble!

Teach, Learn, Share

I used to be a table tennis coach in the village I grew up in so I could definitely give you some tips! Also pretty OK at Brazilian Jiu Jitsu so I could teach that also. I play a bit of piano and drums, so that's something I'd love to teach and learn more about
