Overview
About Me
I'm a full time student and part time artist hailing from Seattle, WA. I study Interaction Design at the University of Washington by day, and by night I paint surreal illustrations and sell art prints to fund my crippling caffeine addiction. You can see some of my work on my website, http://www.maxcrabill.com, or my instagram @maxcrabill
Cooking and swimming keeps me sane between binges on artwork and school work. I absolutely adore all kinds of food, all kinds of dogs, and most kinds of metal. I have strong opinions on peanut butter.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm traveling to Europe and Iceland soon to retrace my genetic heritage and visit the hometowns of some of my favorite artists, both living and passed. I hope to give back to the couchsurfing community with a couch of my own soon. The idea of getting to know fellow travelers while simultaneously easing the financial burden of traveling and providing a much more authentic and genuine experience for both parties is too good to pass up.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I made fan art for an upcoming funk band, which convinced them to sneak me and my best friend in to their touring show in Seattle. We served as their tour guides, hung out in the green room, got a private show at sound check, and made some unforgettable friends and treasured memories.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a thing or two about drawing and painting. I use pencil, pen and ink, watercolor, and gouache, but my real forte is digital art and illustration. I use photoshop and a Wacom tablet at home. I can also teach you how to make bread!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Consider me an artist in residence. I'll leave you at least a sketch or two inspired by my time with you and in your city. I'm also a pretty nice and energetic dude without many day to day needs. Hopefully I can impart some of my springy, youthful energy on to you too!
