CURRENT MISSION
Eat. Drink. Onward.
ABOUT ME
I started hosting surfer while I was a teacher in Tirana, Albania and loved it. Since then I haven't had many opportunities to host or surf, but now that I've been in Wilmington for a bit, I feel as if I'm ready to host again. I love meeting new people and creating new relationships. I'm pretty easy going and love sharing stories over a coffee or a beer.
PHILOSOPHY
Take care of your mind and body... for the most part
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I mostly host surfers, as I like meeting new people and I like showing off wherever it may be that I'm living. I attempt to surf when I travel, but I don't always know where I'm going next, so it can be tough to find spots at the last minute.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've met some truly exceptional people while hosting in Albania, and I even met a truly good friend the one surfing experience I've had while in Greece. I've yet to have a bad experience, although sometimes I ring my surfers into partying a little more than they expected. So, beware, I guess... I'm kidding of course, I'm down for whatever.
Interests
I like public spaces. If there is nice weather, I'm not one to stick around and loaf. I like to get out and enjoy myself, weather it's reading in a park, exploring a city on bike, or downing mugs at a beer garden... I like being out and about, mostly so when my head hits the pillow, I'm out.

Music, Movies, and Books
As a somewhat well-off kid with liberal parents, I abhor anything popular... until I've had a few drinks.
That said, I'm open to everything. I love to read, especially outside, while I'm open to suggestions and book exchanges.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Living in a village in the Republic of Georgia for a year was an incredible experience. Being a city boy for all of my life made me vulnerable, though. I remember my first night, bringing the cows in, pulling my water out of a well, getting drunk on homemade wine, and thinking, 'what the fuck is going on?'
Seeing a ping-pong show in Thailaing-- No I'm kidding. But spending New Year's Eve in Langkawi was something I will never forget. Though it was touristy, I've never spent a NYE where people were so accepting and friendly. Lastly, taking a bike touring trip through central Greece in the summer of '13 was an incredible experience that I'll never forget, while my similar trip in '14 throughout Germany was awesome as well.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a teacher, so I know the importance of knowledge and learning. Everyone has a story, tell me yours...
What I Can Share with Hosts
I work a lot during the school year, while I also travel a lot on the weekends, so my hosting opportunities are not as abundant as I wish they were. During the summer too, I travel often. Nevertheless, I am pretty good with responding quickly. It never hurts to ask.
