About Me

CURRENT MISSION

look for new things every day

ABOUT ME

to quote my ex: "He's one of the few people who's travelled more than I have (I will catch up though!) and he's one of the sweetest guys I know. [...] he is definitely worth meeting and spending time with. If your encounter should happen in winter get him to take you snowboarding in the alps. If the snows have melted, hit the lakes with the kite and a surfboard! If it's raining and you don't want to leave the house he also has a great taste in films ;-) Basically he's one of the good guys!"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i've been a member of CS for 7 years now, but have seldomly been couchsurfing at people i didn't know by then,.. i guess now is the time to change that

Interests

Almost everything grabs my attention and seldomly lets go of it ;-)
I love to travel and to at least get to know two different countries each and every year; that doesn't sound that much (and when i was still at uni it wasn't), but with the rest of my hobbies and my job it can be quite a goal.
I love geeky stuff, and i'd say i'm quite good at everything techy.
I love the kind of work i do (agile projectmanagement, where my team is the center of my attention at work). As i work in an IT-Company in the field of travelling i also love to talk about that.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Kitesurfing in Egypt
owned a racing go-kart for more than a year
I've spent more than a year in the US
I did more than 10 years of horseback-riding (dressage)
I'm an expat living in Switzerland
I sat in a real DeLorean
Travelling the BKK-S'pore-Route in 6Weeks

Teach, Learn, Share

I love discussing amazing (and sometimes cheap) ways to travel, i also have a broad range of technical knowhow - i'm usually the one who ends up fixing the computers, stereos, heating and so on. as my profession is being a consultant for agile methodologies in IT, I'm really keen on hearing everything there is about teams, bosses and such. In the end, I'm the kind of guy that likes to get to know people better and just listen to amazing stories ;-)
