Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I understand the CS is all about goodwill and culture exchange. I might be doing insignificant things, but I try to bridge connections between other countries and Malaysia. I got this idea from a friend in Switzerland who really wanted to extend help but does not know how to do so.

At that moment I do realize that there are a lot of people who are willing to help others, just they need the extra push from a helping hand to make sure their help reaches the needy.

And that is what I am striving for - to promote aid to reach the needy, regardless of race and religion and nationality.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A lot actually! You'd have to ask me personally on this one hehe.

Interests

I love to spend my time both indoors and outdoors. I love to conjure culinary magic in the kitchen and weave lyrical notes on my piano. I also love to sweat it out during tennis and volleyball sessions. I love long drives into the countryside and indulge in the fresh air there.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a sucker for romantic movies - I am a hopeless romantic. My favourites include A Walk To Remember & Serendipity.

Music - I LOVE JAZZ. Any song with a jazzy feel to it (esp cool jazz or contemporary jazz) will make me go into overdrive lol.

Books - so far I still like the books Ive read in my childhood - those written by Jules Verne, H. G. Wells, e.g. The Time Machine, 20000 Leagues Under The Sea, 80 days Around the World etc etc...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

DONE: Being a medical officer, I've acquired general skills in first aid and emergency medicine. I never thought that would come in handy during my vacation trips - once on a plane from London to Cologne I helped a passenger who was having breathing difficulties. Although the flight was delayed as we were waiting for the paramedics, it was a very "heroic" LOL moment for me.

SEEN: Too many. I dont know where to start! But one thing never fails to amaze me, is to see so many different things in so many different countries - its just a wonder how are all these things are even possible :)

Teach, Learn, Share

What can I offer? Hmm...
1) Cultural dance of Malaysia - Ive choreographed many cultural dances for promoting Malaysian tourism wherever I went.
2) Asian cuisines - interested to learn chinese, malay, or thai dishes? I could teach a few tricks hehe.
3) Russian Language - I could lend a hand in this, I've been living in Russia long enough to speak a-kinda-fluent Russian.
4) First Aid and anything medically related - well I'm a doctor LOL
5) Anything. Anything at all! Being a jack-of-all-trades (well, not self-proclaimed obviously!) may have its uses somewhere somehow someday!

What I want to learn?
ANYTHING that anyone is willing to offer and teach!

I am like a sponge - wet me!!!!!! LOL

I believe that learning is a lifelong process, and whatever you learn will somehow be useful in some point of your life.

but i am really REALLY interested in learning
1)Languages - especially spanish! i am learning it now by myself for 6 months...and i need more practice!
2)Cooking unique dishes - like homemade pizza, or paella or pastries - ANYTHING! im tired of my cooking already XD!
3)Dance - oh this is my favourite. dancing is a way of life, like music too.
