我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

First of all I love to travel to new places. But not just travel to visit, I'd like to know more about the histories, the cultures, the local foods, and the nature ✨
But unless you have a friend who live in that area or got some tips from a friend who used to live there, those local experiences are not so easy to get as a tourist. Sometimes you got lucky meeting a friendly local, so you can experience your trip from a local eyes, but sometimes you had to go back there for several times until you actually can discover all of them by yourself. And other times you just don't get those experiences at all.

Secondly, I know that I can be really adventurous when I travel. But there were days when I suddenly have no motivation to be 'that' adventurous, so I might just spent my day on my bed or just do some lazy activities. Which is sad, because when I travel I usually made a list of activities or places to visit and if I choose to just do nothing, it means I just lost an opportunity to do what I wanted.
And from what I experienced, having another traveling partner with me could push my motivation higher. Lol.
But as you might already know, dragging friends to travel with you is not as easy as when a cat adopt you as their owner 🥲 hahah

And then third reason. Omg as you know I'm from Indonesia, I love traveling here and I thought the prices of foods, stuff, transportation and accommodation are acceptable. But then when I traveled outside my country, especially when I checked outside southeast Asia, and the accommodation prices outside here are quite shocking. I mean I don't mind, and I understand why there were such a big gaps on living costs. But still if I could choose, I would prefer to spend the budget on some memorable activities or culinary experiences, am I right? That's why it always be waayy nicer to have someone to share the cost with! :D

So, anyway. Some years ago in my university days, I joined an International organization and volunteered a lot in the projects. And in the middle of my first project I became a friend with a fellow student volunteer who loves to travel. We shared a lot of stories and then eventually he introduced me to this platform. I was so excited! Especially when CS added hangout facility! I met a lot of fun strangers from there, did some open trips with strangers too!
Well yeah, there were also some people who wasn't really nice that I met here. But over-all, this platform is really cool and I feel like it can solve all the 3 reasons I mentioned above 😃

And now here I am, ready to make some new friends and experiencing some new things! :D

About music, lately I've been trying to learn piano again, so at the moment I often listen to classic or instrumental musics.
But in general I listen to Pop and electronic, new and old ones. Depends on my mood :)

I love to read novel and fantasy books (or encyclopedias) since I was a little! Well, I can do all genre of books. But mostly the fantasy and adventurous ones interest me waaaay more 😌

Love watching movies from Marvel Cinematic Universe! Hehe they are so fun to watch!
I watch a lot of action movies.. or animation. I am a cartoon person 😌 lol I used to watch The Amazing World of Gumball to distract my self from my stress , love it!
Oh I also watch action animes :D

In short. I am fine with everything. Except horror. Let's just skip it for our peaceful life and imagination :))

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Many years ago, I hiked a freezing mountain on the raining night for the first time. I was such a noob. I thought I was going to die 🥲 hahahaha
But then at night suddenly the sky was so clear and I got to watch so so many stars for the first time. It was really amazing!! 😆
