About Me
Hello, I'm Maya! I'm from the wonderful city of New Orleans, and am back home after studying in Massachusetts and living in Germany for two years, in Frankfurt and Leipzig, working as an au pair and then studying. I had so many wonderful opportunities to become acquainted with other cultures and ways of life, and many of those experiences came from couchsurfing in some way!
I love talking to new people about what they're passionate about. There's nothing more fun and I am interested in just about everything when talking to a passionate person :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
There's no better way to get to know a place then by staying with someone living there. I love talking to new people about where they're from, what they're proud of, their identity, their culture. There is nothing more exciting or energising than a new idea, and couchsurfing is a great way to get exposed to them!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Accidentally participated in a Voodoo shrine dedication, been caving, full moon kayaking, abandoned warehouse golfing, working on an Icelandic sheep farm!
Teach, Learn, Share

I grew up in New Orleans, a city that prides itself on our easy-going and soulful way of life; I always love sharing the culture of my amazing city!
Um, I can knit and have a bit of an eye for interior design?
