About Me
I'm a marine biologist living and studying in Santa Cruz. I'm from San Francisco, but my parents are both immigrants to the US so I grew up traveling and never stopped! I love to backpack, rock climb, scuba dive, sing, write poetry, learn about plants and herbalism, and meet new people.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music – 070 Shake, Jefferson Airplane, the Beatles, the Doors, the Smiths, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, the Cure, Tame Impala, Alt J, Yemen Blues, David Bowie, Nick Drake, Sibylle Baier
Books – Pillars of the Earth, Radical Dharma, Cannery Row, and the Prophet.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm lucky to be able to travel to exciting places for my work: I've taught marine biology on a volcanic island in the Caribbean, worked at an animal rescue center in the Amazon rainforest, & lived on boats in the middle of the Galapagos – but the best part of all of these experiences have been the people I've met along the way!
