I'm part serious and part carefree...hard to know which will come out when. But I manage to smile and make people laugh no matter what, and I gravitate towards people who do the same.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm still relatively inexperienced in couch surfing but I've loved the connections I've been able to make so far.

Interests

These days I've just finished a PhD in Anthropology and about to start teaching at the university in the fall. My time is often filled with reading, writing, and traveling for my studies and interests. When I'm not doing that, I spend time just being outdoors, practicing yoga, cooking and eating with my wonderful friends, biking around the city, and learning (slowly, slowly) how to play guitar. A good novel, movie, television show or chocolate bar makes me feel calm and happy, a good game of ultimate frisbee makes me feel joyful and energetic, and a good conversation with an interesting person has the capacity to do all of the above.
