ABOUT ME

Married to a super-duper, curious, engaging, and loving gent named Alex. We're both dual-citizens; he is British-American, and I am Turkish-American.

We've got a fat cat named Toulouse .

I am: Petite. To a tea. Dancetastic. A chocoholic, language fiend. Love traveling, but definitely love nights at home. Obsessed with finding "faces in places," anthropomorphizing objects around me. Am oddly excellent at "Bejeweled".

PHILOSOPHY

Languages are the keys to an infinite wealth of knowledge and emotions. Meeting people, learning cultures, traveling, sharing, laughing, speaking, all enrich life- the more the merrier.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We live in DC, but haven't hosted in a while since we've moved around a bit. We just bought a place in Mt Pleasant, though, so we should be open for surfers shortly.

We're both happy to meet up for a chat, some tea perhaps.

I still haven't gone on a paddle-boat here in DC and would *love* to do so while meeting new friends, so if that sounds like fun- hit us up.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Amsterdam, Enschede- Netherlands; Bratislava, Slovakia (on accident, but with an amazing new friend). Have hosted in the U.S. before, too.

兴趣

In my free time, I lounge, I explore, I dance, I snuggle (generally with my husband and with my cat), I make food, I host game nights, I watch British mystery TV series and other such delightful ventures.

Alex does all that too, but also is active in the local start-up scene, graphic design, animation, is a total history buff and intensely into learning about new things, any things.
