About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

I think my goal in life is to have as much fun as possible (ETA: I wrote that four years ago. I think my goal in life is to learn and to love as much as possible)

PHILOSOPHY

I only wish there were more hours in the day! I wish I could take up a new hobby every week. Traveling away from the US for the first time has opened my eyes to this big, wide world, and I intend to find out what its all about.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I do my best to live in the moment - often easier said than done! I am continually amazed by people and the world, and I do my best to carry the past and dream of the future while living in the moment.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed in Brussels and learned the importance of preparation! I did not connect with my host well beforehand so ended up napping in a Belgian park... but had a great experience once we finally met! And overall, learned a lot.

Interests

music, photography, art, people, the sunshine, new things, baby animals, babies, cheese, wine, walking around, getting lost and (sometimes) getting found, hugs, nighttime, shooting stars, movies, water, chatting, relaxing, having fun, HULA HOOPING, etc!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: (Even though its annoying when people say it) pretty much all... living in the South has given me a greater appreciation for folk, bluegrass, and a little country music. I love classic rock, and have been known to frequent my fair share of jam band related events. I used to live a few blocks away from the summer home of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and I didn't much about classical music, but could appreciate the beauty. I used to play the violin and clarinet, but when I return from traveling I plan on actually learning to play my recently purchased guitar.

I like movies and books, too.
