Hi!
My name is Maria and for now, when people ask me about who I am, the first thing that comes into my mind is that I’m a magician. I think that our reality, just like dreams, can be managed by our faith and fantasies when we have enough courage and awareness. I can tell you lots of amazing magical stories and rituals, help you to find answers for your questions, and become friends with your deepest fears. I was born under the Hermit archetype and as well as this character, I’ve become a guide and hope for people around me 🧘‍♂️

Besides the spiritual side, I’ve got a huge passion for science. I’ve got a degree in applied mathematics and now working in Elsevier as a programmer. My whole life I’ve got a huge interest in learning math, physics, biology, programming.

Another obsession that has happened in my life is my love for horses. I adore these animals and I’m going to horse riding since I was a kid. It’s not like I’ve got a wish to become a professional sportsman, but I really enjoy communication with my favourite creatures while I’m spending an amazing time on the stable.

I love Kyiv rave culture and I have visited a lot f amazing parties and festivals, such as Strichka, Veselka, IСКРА, Brave factory, Rhythm buro and now me and my friends are frequently visiting club at K41 (one of the most known not only in Europe but in the whole world, a lot of people say that Kyiv is a new techno capital) . I’ve also visited EXIT festival with my girlfriend and we are planning to visit some more very soon.

I'm an enormous fan of mountains and I love hiking. We were several times in Carpathian mountains with my friends and last spring we spent 10 days on Lycian way in Turkey. That was absolutely amazing adventure and we are planning to visit Georgia and Portugal in the nearest future. I can also be proud of my experience of being alone while camping for 4 days and overcoming several not only complicated but really dangerous situations.

I really love football and I'm a huge fan of FC Barcelona for more than 10 years, although the club is going through rough times, I continue to believe in my boys and enjoy the amazing game from my girls. because once you a culé – forever a culé ️

I guess I'm very friendly, empathetic and outgoing person, who is always glad to meet new interesting people and have warm, sincere conversations.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My entire life I was dreaming about travels and adventures. Now, when i'm a grown-up independent person, i'm going to make my dreams come true :) I don't enjoy touristic travel style and i can't leave without communication with people, so i guess that's why i'm using Couchsurfing.

Although I can call myself a melomaniac, I can establish priorities among a number of music interests like of course all kinds of electronic music, especially techno, Rock music, especially alternative, indie and pop-rock.
I'm a huge fan of some techno Dj's like Allen Alien, Mama Snake, SPFDJ, VTSS, Nina Kraviz, Amelie Lens, MELL G, Daria Kolosova, Tweeman, Omon Breaker, Dubishkin, etc., etc., etc.
I love The Beatles, Queen, Nirvana, Tame Impala, Radiohead, The Neighbourhood, Milky Chance, Mac DeMarco, JPEGMAFIA, Tyler, The Creator, Kali Uchis, Frank Ocean, Vince Staples, Ben Howard, Parov Stelar, Hurts, Caravan Palace, Dotan, Wardruna, Madrugada, Forndon, Placebo, Hozier and so so on. I'm listening literally everything.

I also into classical music and must say, that I adore opera, ballet and theatre in general. Kyiv has lots of great theatres and you can ask me about it, I can suggest you what to visit if you are planning to attend this beautiful city.

I love reading and, actually, i can't say that i have only one favourite book. We can have a great talk about different kinds of books, I assure you, we have something to suggest each other.

What I Can Share with Hosts

For now, I can't offer you the official place to stay for a couple of days in Ukraine, because I live in really small apartment with my girlfriend, but we are planning to rent a bigger place in the future and i guess i will be ready to accept guests. Can't wait for it!
Furthermore, i can easily make you an excursion around the Kiev and also show you interesting, but little-known places, as well as come to K41 with you ;)
