About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Find out the real essence of Belgian consitutional system

ABOUT ME

I'm Maya, 21 years old for the moment. I have been living in Toulouse for a year now, with a 6-month-break for an internship in Paris.
I've been living in Bordeaux, another South-West big city, but really different from Toulouse. And I'm from Pau (Pyrénées Atlantiques), so if youre making a tour in the South-West I may be able to give you some tips or good places I know.

I really hate routine, I love my bike (but I'm not a hipster !), the Atlantic ocean and having people at home, are they friends or not...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can offer you a couch in my 4-people colocation. They are 3 friends of mine and not people I don't know. Bastien is from Bordeaux, I met him there. Camille is from South-East (Aix-en-Provence) and Marion from Clermont-Ferrand. We all speak english, three of us are speaking spanish and Marion is fluent in Italian. I also try to learn portuguese, to go to Sao Paulo next year.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I don't really have couchsurfing experiences yet, except some people I met last year and some beers I drank. I never slept or hosted, but lots of friends did it (one way or the other). So don't be afraid :)

Interests

I love to read, I can spend a day in my be with a book, but it doesn't mean that I'm lazy or taciturn. I looove going to music festivals and parties, with my friends or people I don't know, meeting people in the streets and spending my night with them, having a drink in bars.
I also enjoy cooking for my friends, trying some vietnamese or moroccan dish, hosting people, talking for hours, traveling (through France and Europe for now but I planned to go to Latin America next year...
I used to practice rugby but now I'm injured (knee...) so I'm waiting to be operated doing some yoga or pilates (but to be honest, most of the time playing to Just Dance with my friends is my only activity)

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy reading american literature (Brautigan, Hemingway, Salinger, Steinbeck, Fitzgerald...) but my readings are not restrictive. I also like authors as Colette, and for now I am in a family saga about the XXth century from Anna-Marie Garat.
I love music from all kinds (techno, jazz, folk, indé...). I'll be happy to exchange groups or songs with you.
