About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see how different people live all over the world and to connect and come together with people in love and friendship to help heal the earth and the human race.
ABOUT ME
My name is Maya, I am half black and half Jewish and I live in the metropolitan area of Los Angeles, California. I plan on going to college at Bard College in the fall (August 2012) where I hope to study History and Environmental Science. I love people and hearing different people's stories.I think everyone has something to teach, as everything in life is a learning experience, even if in the moment it is an uncomfortable experience. I am a spiritual and loving person and I try to find the beauty in everything around me.
PHILOSOPHY
Be the change you want to see in the world, because together we can make a difference.

Interests
I am interested in many varying aspects of life, both scholastic and artistic, and am interested in different cultures and peoples around the globe. I am very passionate about a lifelong quest of learning how a variety of different people around the world live sustainably in their environment. I am very intellectual and I love sharing information and especially learning new things from other people. I value good conversation immensely, but I love to talk to anyone. I practice meditation and yoga, and love making art and music with friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
Too many to list, too too many. But I LOVE new music, books, and movie recommendations.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiked through the jungle completely alone in Costa Rica. I was alone for miles and miles and it was very powerful.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know lots of information on lots of different subjects, and I love to talk about art, history, literature, music, politics, economics, health, spirituality, you name it! I'm just not so hot with technology, but I'd love to learn!
