I've just finished a job where it was my responsibility to bring interesting and cool speakers to my University. Through this job I was lucky enough to meet and have dinner with people like Morgan Freeman, Sir Ian McKellen (Gandalf) and the CEO of Google, amongst others.

I'm now travelling for 10 months or so, aiming to meet as many interesting people as possible.

Before starting University I and a friend decided to travel from from Beijing to Calais without using any money for travel and accommodation.

We ended up hitch hiking, couch surfing and camping the whole way.

18,000km. Robbed once. Arrested twice. Countless wonderful generous people.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing seems strange at first glance.

You open your house to a stranger or alternatively, you agree to meet someone for the first time and end up going to stay with them an hour or so later. It seems like it could only end badly.

Yet it works.

For now, I'm hoping that hosts will be willing to take me in for a night or two but once I get my own place I look forward to hosting as many people as possible.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Hitch hiking on the roof of a cargo train in Russia, drinking shots with one of the train drivers.

Being stranded in the middle of Kazakhstan, 200 km from the nearest city, having just been robbed the night before. We had nothing apart from our passports, half a tent and a neon jacket.

Betting the last of my money on a 50/50 bet in Paris, without knowing what would happen had I lost. I won.
