I'm a second year grad student at Wash U studying parts of the human genome that aren't intrinsically "human", on a journey through the commonly accepted archaic travel-term—life. As always there's sure to be plenty of laughs, tears, and (mis)adventures along the way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

July 2014 [Fujiyama, Japan]: Dashing through hundreds of Japanese (of all sizes), hurling "ganbettes!" at each other, to the peak in less than 4.5hrs overnight to catch the sunrise from atop Fuji-san was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Needless to say, the sights are still fresh and was one of my best experiences in Japan. What an honor to get up close and know you more, Fuji-san. SUBARASHII!
