Overview
About Me
I am a 25 years old brazilian gurl finishing my MA in Women's Studies, Gender and Citzenship in Universitat de Barcelona, Catalunya-Spain.
In Barcelona Ive had the opportunity of getting out of the common sense experience, although I recognize it is important to be a tourist for the first couple of days.
Finding out I cannot live everything a city or a person has to offer me, is a source of suffering. I wish I could live many lives, in many places.
While I cant, Im enjoying the life I have with a very open minded actitud and empathic heart. Living through others is the best way to have many lives.
Right?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is very special because it makes people to open not only their houses, but their lives for complete strangers. Knowing new places by oneself already help us to understand life better, but connecting with local people is what can make us be more empathetic, open-minded and wise.
As a host, I intend to adapt myself to my visitors style, letting them free to know around or being a guide if necessary. For sure I will want to socialize and to learn more about you, your country, your beliefs and your experience on life. Going out for a beer or to dance, cooking dinner together, doing outdoor activities in parks or beaches, doing cultural programmes...Count me in!
But some times I will need to study and I hope my visitors can understand that. I will do my best to be harmonic with both situations.

Music, Movies, and Books
There is no such thing as Favorite Music, Movie or Book as they represent moments in our lives, but I can try to name some...
Books:
100 years of solitude - Gabriel Garcia Marquez
Open Veins of Latin America - Eduardo Galeano
Poetry of Carlos Drummond de Andrade, Fernando Pessoa and Oscar Wilde.
Feminist and post-colonial readings as Simone de Beauvoir and Gayatri Spivak.
Right now exploring Anais Nin.
Movies:
Atonement type of movie
Donnie Darko type of movie
Lars von Trier type of movie
O Sal da Terra type of documentary
Music:
Right now I've been hearing some soundsystem and some crazy alien dubstep. Very bipolar. But I do enjoy a lot of different styles.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I like to smile at and greet people who are invisible in our crazy individualistic world and, for me, that is pretty amazing.
But travelling in a truck and camping 40 days in a row in 5 different African countries was also nice.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn everything you have to teach me about your city and your life.
I can teach portuguese, ceramics, badwords in some other languages, how not to sing and cook, some basic feminist theory, astrology, buddhism and how to be optmistic about - almost- everything.
We can share life experiences and create some more.
