My name is Mayara and I'm 24 years old. I was born in Rio de Janeiro, but currently I live in Minas Gerais.
I am curious to know different cultures, but never had the opportunity to travel to another country. I hope to realize my dream, and to know several countries with the help of friends of Couchsurfing.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I met Couchsurfing through a book, which tells the story of a Brazilian girl who traveled for 3 months through Europe without money. Its purpose was to know the kindness of people, the material detachment and to show that it is possible to trust people and the Universe.
This book filled me with positivity and courage!
I've never met another country, so I decided to use Couchsurfing to get out of the comfort zone and take a tour in Europe.

- I lived in a Hostel in Rio de Janeiro for six months. It was an amazing experience, to meet people from all the world and learn to respect the differences.

- I am always involved in voluntary work in my city, one of these jobs was to ask for money at the traffic signs to help abandoned animals.
