Overview
About Me
I can't be the only one who finds it impossibly uncomfortable to write about him\herself.
But maybe that's a good place to start; I hate the 'ABOUT ME' instruction, with a passion.
Now that that's off my chest...
I am a happy and curious traveler. I am adventurous in my own way and I am also quite intelligent and fairly modest, as you can see.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am a big big big advocate of couchsurfing.
I travel to places that I'm excited and curious about, excited about the setting and culture, curious to meet the people. Couchsurfing is such a great platform for both and better yet, you then get to pay it all forward.
But you don't need me to tell you that, you already know all of this!
I'm really enjoying my travels but one thing I always look forward to for my return is hosting travelers and showing them my home.
Interests
I love to read and write and doodle for hours.
I love tomatoes, olive oil, green peas and ginger tea; and that's what you might call easy to please.
Books and music take up a lot of my time. I'm always on the lookout for new things to read or listen to although I do still stay fairly loyal to the classics and the things that I grew up with. I'm also really into art of all sorts. I love being in museums; I'll spend hours at a museum or gallery just listening to the slow and awkward footsteps of the visitors. It's kind of a guilty pleasure..
Aside from those, I'll just list a few more: yoga, nature, the preserving of nature, philosophy, history, travel, being underwater, vegan cooking, baking, counting with prime numbers, sour skittles, and finally.. tasting honey from different parts of the world!
Music, Movies, and Books
Hmmmm books
anything and everything by Herman Hesse, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, Ringolevio, Tintin, Fantastic Mr. Fox and my all-time favourite from the age of four- Where the Wild Things Are.
(The movie unfortunetly did not do it justice, but I think the soundtrack is lovely.)
When it comes to music I think the word eclectic would apply.. Lou Reed, Neil Young, Cat Stevens, Beirut, Alt-J, Eric Sumo, Avishai Cohen, Fiona Apple, Tracy Chapman, Tame Impala, Fleetwood Mac, Allah-Las, Fat Freddy's Drop, Daughter, Fleet Foxes, The Kinks, Patti Smith, Noir Desire, Tatran, Stevie Wonder and many many many many more.
As for movies, get me some Woody Allen and I'm happy. Oh and you can really never watch Pocahontas too many times..
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I promise to tell you if you'll host me.
Now there's an exchange that's worth your time!
