Hi! I'm Maya, I'm a 25 year old native New Yorker! I spent the past 2.5 years traveling in Central America after getting my BA in Sociology and Peace and Justice Studies, with a minor in Latin American Studies. I'm living in New York again and occasionally traveling for work and study.

I am deeply passionate about the exploration of how we can heal, transmute and transform on a personal and collective level through creative expression. In my travels and now back in New York, I have been focusing on on practices of vocal improvisation, dance improvisation, song-writing, and yoga. I look for contact improv, ecstatic dance, and circle-singing wherever I go and excited to explore offerings of the sort in new places.
