About Me
I decided to write a newer version in this "About me" section (it's fall 2016 now) but I decided against deleting the old part, because those opinions are still accurate.
Right now I am 27 years old even though I much prefer the expression that the Spanish language uses. Tengo 27 años. I have 27 years! Because I really do. It's an undeniable truth that so far I've been allowed to lead a great and rich life in which I could see a lot, get to know many great people and was able to learn and experience things I never thought I would.
I repeatedly get reminded how great personal human connections can be, how unexpectedly beautiful. It's something CS keeps teaching me and it's the main I am on this page. I enjoy both equally, being a guest in your world and also having you in mine.
I am looking forward to meet you no matter where you're from, who you love, who you pray to, how you look, how you define your sex or gender.
All I ask for is mutual respect and acceptance. And of course, curiousity.
"old Version"
Hello couchsurfing world. My name is Christoph and I'm a 22 years old German guy who lives and studies in Leipzig. I study special education and wanna be a teacher one beautiful day. :)I'm very into every facet of culture and art though I'm really not an artist (unfortunately). I love to watch theater plays, good movies or going to museums and disuss about what I've seen afterwards. When I was 16 I spent an exchange year in the United States which turned out to be the most marking experience I've ever had. It gave me strength and filled me with a curiosity that makes me wanna discover and see more of this beautiful world and its people. Unfortunately as a student money is a huge defining fact. Not that the absence of money isn't a common problem. ;) It made me crazy not being able to afford trips to countries I haven't been to yet and finding out about CS brightend my life in so many ways. I'm very excited for the adventures that'll come along with it.I'm 'hungry' for this world. Seriously.Oh...sorry for wandering...back to that whole introduction thing.I believe I'm a likeable (is that a word?) person. I love to talk and listen and I enjoy to be quiet and share great moments with people in silence. I love people and don't believe into differnces defined by skin, gender or sexuality. We all are different, sure, but that makes us equal in the end. I believe that peace and harmony is achieved once nobody has to talk about differences anymore because it simply doesn't matter where u're from, how u look and who u love and I believe that that is a goal worth working on.Let's get to know each other.Let's share couches, thoughts and homes! <3
PHILOSOPHY
Life is a balance between holding on and letting go.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
During my exchange year in Oklahoma. The US Army was giving a presentation in the auditorium of our school. Polite as we were we were quiet through the entire presentation. When they were done some soldier guy asked "Who of you is thinking about going to the US Army after school?"........This question was answered by complete silence. That is when we started laughing and applauding for ourselves and everyone left the auditorium and the dumbfounded soldiers. As I heard. The Army never had a presentation in our school again.
