Remark - Dear couchsurfers of Sofia - between the 19th of December and the New Year I won't be in Sofia, so you do not need to apply for a couch - I won't be able to host you.

I want to leave the world a little better than I found it.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like the book "Momo" from Michael Ende, as it transfers messages for children and for adults!
Das Buch "Momo" von Michael Ende ist sehr schön. Kinder lesen es ganz anders als Erwachsene!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Summer 2009: I worked in Bulgaria. I spent the summer with Bulgarian workers. At the beginning I was sceptical. I did not know the language. With the time they tought me the basics of their language - enough for communication and we became friends. With highinsight I must say, this was the most amazing summer within the last years.
Another thing: I always had spoken English with my Polish pen-friend. We even went on holiday and all his friends spoke English, also among each other because of me. That impressed me. After he did his PHD, he went to the US for 2 years with his wife. I decided to give him a surprise. I learned Polish and after he came back, I started talking to him in Polish. We have not spoken English with each other since. It was amazing to see his face :-)
Teach, Learn, Share
I used to teach German as a foreign language (via Skype or virtual teaching classrooms) part time, but now I do it almost full-time, as I have not found a job as an Engineer in Sofia yet.
