Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to fully experience new cultures (down the road or across the globe) as often as possible
ABOUT ME
After spending the majority of my childhood in Florida, one trip abroad in high school turned me into a bit of a wanderlust. Since then I've lived everywhere from the bustling city of Los Angeles to a cotton field on the rural east coast and with a family of elderly painters on the beaches of France. Amidst my spontaneous living experiences, I have had some great opportunities to travel around the world from Haiti to Thailand. Having lived in western, eastern and the triangle area of North Carolina, my heart will always call the land of the long leaf pine home.
I recently moved to Washington, DC in July 2014 to start a job at an organization addressing health disparities. Unfortunately, I can't host at this location; but, I'm happy to show you around the US Capitol!
PHILOSOPHY

Music, Movies, and Books
Getting lost in a book at a cozy coffee shop is my form of relaxing... Some of my favorite books are the Book Thief, Travels with Charley, Americanah and Mountains Beyond Mountains.
I really listen to EVERY kind of music imaginable, but indie pop/rock tends to be on repeat the most.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
While in Haiti, I went for a stroll along a river and stumbled upon a group of kids who taught me the hokie pokie in Creole. And in case you were wondering, "Souke, Souke" is how you shake it all about.
