About Me
CURRENT MISSION
breaking bread with YOU
ABOUT ME
Currently I am living in Utrecht, Netherlands, where I am completing my Master thesis in European Cultural Diplomacy.
Before this I was in Melbourne working hard (fruit shop and book shop - what a combo) and studying full time to save for my travels.
Apart from all the nerdery I am very outgoing and would love to meet you and hear about your life. I love to learn from people and am generally pretty relaxed about everything.
PHILOSOPHY
We are all just lost socks in the laundromat of time....

Music, Movies, and Books
Books, Movies and Music - all are passions of mine. My father is a writer, my mother is a filmmaker/film teacher and my brother is a musician. I guess I didn't get the creative bones, but I do love to read, watch and listen.
I used to work in a bookshop and for a few years I actually lived in a library - so naturally, I love to read. I love Eduardo Galeano, Borges, Orlando Figes, John Ajvide Lindqvist, Michael Ondaatje, Graham Greene, Tobias Wolff and Francisco Goldman...and..wait - they are all men. Also Chimamanda Ngozi Adiche, Zadie Smith, Zora Neale Hurston, Alice Munro, Syliva P, Virginia Woolf and many many more.
I love a lot of old Australian film (My Brilliant Career, The Year My Voice Broke etc.) as well as classics like Casablanca (Michael Curtiz), Le Samourai (and everything else by Jean-Pierre Melville), most things by Akira Kurosawa and more recently Emir Kusturica. That's right, the obvious and spurious arthouse is all for me!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Living with police in Milan after being robbed, working in Cambodia, riding a horse across copper canyon in Mexico and meeting new people everywhere!
Teach, Learn, Share
Hmmm, I can name all of the countries of the world in song form.
I can also sing all of the country towns of my home state in alphabetical order!!
I have two degrees in international politics - which makes me somewhat argumentative (at times).
I have had many camping adventures in Central America and I can shre the secrets of my success.
I enjoy homebrewing beer and am keen to learn some news techniques.
I know a lot of bars in Melbourne.
I would like to know about whatever you know about.
